Public Transportation Program
Offering Transportation Services to the Meeteetse Community around the Big Horn Basin and beyond!
Every Tuesday & Thursday the Meeteetse Recreation District offers transportation services for everyone needs.
On Tuesday Morning’s, we offer a personalized program that focuses more on individual’s needs, appointments, etc. Tuesday rides MUST be scheduled in advance to coordinate rides appropriately. We kindly ask that appointments be scheduled between 9:00-11:30 so we can provide an time effective schedule for all riders. Bus returns to Meeteetse around 1:00.
Thursday’s: Bus Leaves Meeteetse @ 8:30 and returns when all riders have satisfied all their needs. The Thursday bus makes regular scheduled stops at Walmart, Albertson’s, & riders choice of restaurant for brunch/lunch. Additional stops for personal needs are welcomed on the Thursday bus as well!
The Meeteetse Recreation District occasionally provides public transportation to special events on as needed basis. To stay up to date with the special events, please refer to our weekly advertisement on the homepage.

Assistance/Capital Assistance
This is to notify all interested parties that the Meeteetse Recreation District is applying for funding through operating assistance and/or capital assistance in the total estimated cost of $82,009.68 (federal and local) under the Wyoming Department of Transportation's operating and/or capital transit grant programs.
The operating/capital assistance grant is funded by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and/or State Public Transit funding and is administered by the Wyoming Department of Transportation. This application includes a request for operating and/or capital expenses associated with providing public transportation within Meeteetse/Park County in the State of Wyoming.

If requested, a public hearing will be scheduled, along with a notice indicating the location, date, and time of the public hearing.
